Montavilla Farmers Market is an important part of my week. I have developed relationships with customers I see week after week, year after year, shopping with their families. This market feels like the heart of the community when I regularly see hugs and greetings exchanged between friends while shopping. I am glad to feel part of this vibrant community.
One of the best compliments I can receive is, “My family won’t eat any other jam now!” I’m proud to say that I source many of my ingredients from this market. The money from my sales stays very local since I often leave the market with my car full of berries and fruit for my next batches of jam. So, even within the farmers and vendors, there is cooperation to support one another.
I have worked at many Farmer’s Markets, but no others have the warm sense of community that I find at Montavilla.
